Côte d'Ivoire is honoured to be organising the first edition of the West African Festival of Arts and Culture (ECOFEST), the theme of which is "Culture, a catalyst for peace, diversity and economic and social integration in West Africa". Culture being a priority sector for HE Alassane Ouattara, the holding of this prestigious event in Abidjan, which will bring together all the talents of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and those of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), confirms culture as an effective tool for development, regional integration and peace-building.This festival also embodies our shared commitment to promoting the richness and diversity of our region's culture and heritage. It will be a dazzling showcase for our traditions and our art, offering a unique platform for intercultural dialogue and multi-faceted exchanges.
